A Blessed good morning and Happy Easter. And to my Jewish friends, a Happy Passover (Pesach) which began on April 8th. For both celebrations the festivities will be muted by the pandemic created by the Covid-19 virus. Since I arrived back home from my winter trip to Florida on March 8th, I have remained in my apartment most of the time. I ventured out of my building with both mask and gloves on brief excursions perhaps three or four times. Because several residents have contracted the disease and are quarantined, mask and gloves are worn within the building as well to throw out garbage and recyclables, do laundry and pickup mail. On these occasions it is rare to come in contact with another resident. Social distancing is the order of the day. Fortunately, I am well stocked with all the essentials and have kept myself busy throughout the day; contact made with the 'outside world' thankfully is made via the Internet and phone. Everyone who reads this blog has been impacted by this event and each have their own story to tell.
With loads of time on my hands and as a change of pace, I thought I would create this blog and feature My Visitors as the subject matter. This topic has always appeared as a link along the sidebar of my blogs. It is here where I've kept a visual record of the many people I have come in contact with throughout the years of my RV travels. The social isolation that now faces us has propelled the value of friendship to a higher level. It is this awareness that I'd like to share with my readers; all the folks I have become acquainted with over the years. Family, friends and people I'll never see again are presented here; some have passed on. Perhaps you'll see yourself. These 219 people represent 20 states and Canada. Each has a story and background that I've been privileged to know.
